Alright, alright . . . here are the pictures

Hi everyone. Sorry it took so long to get a recap of our vacation posted but the week disappeared. Enough excuses - on to the pictures.

We flew to Maui 2 weeks ago today for a 7 day vacation in Paradise! We stayed in Napili Bay for the first 3 nights and then in Kihei the last 3 nights. We hiked, swam, drove, and snorkeled to our hearts content and loved every minute of it. The pictures below are some highlights!

Here is the Nakalele blowhole. It was hard to capture the full force of the water that came through it. At times it can reach about 70 feet!

This is me at the Olivine Pools. We were standing there minding our own business when a massive wave caught us off guard and soaked us (including the camera). Luckily the camera survived to see another day. The waves were just amazing and slightly frightening so we didn't get in and swim like other people were doing. I guess people have been killed in this area because of the strength of the waves. Fun, huh.

According to the book we read about Maui, this stand sells the best banana bread in the world. $5 for a small loaf. Without sounding too arrogant - my banana bread is better. (Darren - Marni's banana bread is much better, I can vouch for that. Still an arrogant comment) :-)

The water at La Perouse Bay was just amazing. The picture probably doesn't even really capture how clear and blue it was.

Okay, that does it for part I of the vacation. Part II will be available shortly.

Hey Marni, you're making me jealous. Want to babysit Riley while Matt & I go to Hawaii?

Yum banana bread...

Love the Maui Wowee. I wanna go back. Of course I want to go anywhere that isn't covered under two feet of snow.

Not arrogant- I've had your baked goods before and they are delicious. Perhaps you should move to Maui and set up a stand next to the "best banana bread" makers and put them out of business.

Yay Capitalism!
