So, there has been tension in our house for the past few weeks. What could be the source of the tension you ask?? What could Marni and Darren possibly disagree on? Well, it all boils down to whether to install our sprinkler system ourselves or pay someone to do it. I'm a cheapskate and say we should do it ourselves. On the other hand, Darren is all about contracting it out.
Who knew a decision about a sprinkler system could cause such dischord. This has been a harder decision than buying our house!! (J/K) Well, at least we agreed to make the decision this weekend . . . so I'll be posting the results sometime next week. Hopefully we will have a lovely yard with grass (NO MORE DIRT!!) by the end of April.
(I apologize if this was a stupid blog post. I have been getting razzed about my lack of posting so . . . here is a post . . . no more complaints please!)

It's real life. It qualifies as a valid blog post! :) I have never personally installed a sprinkler system, but my dad did ours a couple of times(different houses). I remember it being a complete nightmare. But a doable nightmare. Good luck deciding! :)
Whatever you do, just make sure you at least GET one!
So funny, Dan and I had the same argument except I said forget the sprinkler system all together- we lived in Oregon and I said I didn't mind moving the sprinkler around the yard.
Eventually, I ended up losing the argument.
Turns out he was right. Getting a sprinkler system installed within a day was awesome.
So there is my two cents. Unfortunately installing a sprinkler system costs more than that.
Scott says he will come up if you fly us all up...says his time is at least worth that much!! hehe! good luck!
