4th of July fun

Darren and I took advantage of the long holiday weekend to escape up to the Uintas. We stayed at my parents half-built cabin and helped around the cabin where we could. The nice thing is that during the heat of the summer the mountains are so much cooler so working outside was actually pretty enjoyable.

In addition to helping, we also got to go exploring the new area on the ATVs. Darren would spend all day out and about on those 4-wheelers if he could...

We watched a moose from the safety of the backyard of my parents cabin. It's a little fuzzy, but the huge animal was pretty far away.

Before heading home we drove up to Whitney Reservoir. Can you believe how pretty this is? It sort of reminded Darren of Austria's mountain lakes.

Hope everyone had a good 4th!

Great. Now I have the song, "The Hills Are Alive" stuck in my head.

I'm totally jealous of your getaway.

I'm sorry to hear about the adoption. The Uintahs and wildlife look beautiful. Fun that you could get away up to the cabin.
