Caleb's cousin DJ had his 1 year birthday so Caleb went to his first birthday party :) The boys are 3 months apart and Grandma Downs gave them these cute outfits (the matching part actually wasn't planned but provided a good photo op)
It was at this shindig that Caleb had his first cupcake . . .first any kind of cake for that matter. On the video the crying stops as soon as that first mouthful arrives :)
This past week, my younger sister and her family arrived from Texas. So we headed up the Uintas for the weekend with them and my parents. It was great - we went on the ATV's, went swinging, had s'mores, etc... Overall it was a fabulous weekend away. The pictures below are of us at Whitney Reservoir - SO BEAUTIFUL!!
Caleb could not get enough of his Grandpa Richards this weekend. He never reaches out to anyone to be held - but he did for Grandpa. If I took him back, he would start to get upset and reach out for him again. That's gotta feel good if you're Grandpa :)
I will say we definitely did not document the weekend we had in photos. Luckily we are heading back up to the cabin again this weekend . . . I will make sure to take more pictures - especially of Caleb and his cousins and all the fun things we do.
Another first - Caleb got to taste his first sucker. His dad was very generous in sharing his sucker with our little man who couldn't get enough. We're hoping a sucker will keep Caleb still long enough this next weekend so we can trim up his hair . . . we'll see how that goes . . . could provide some entertaining photos.
