Thank goodness for annoying co-workers

As of today, Darren and I will have been married for 5 LONG years. We met about 7 years ago at a company we were both working for. For a year and half, our co-workers annoyingly told us that we needed to date each other, but both of us ignored them citing reasons like “Darren is too skinny” and “Marni doesn’t show enough personality” (and we were both dating other people). Well, we finally gave in and had our first date. The next day, he met my whole family basically - crazy guy. It all snowballed from there. We were married 8 months later in 2005 and continue to be grateful to those crazy co-workers and their dating advice.

I just want to say how lucky I am to have Darren as my partner. He is a great husband and an awesome father. He makes me laugh.

So young and innocent and unaware of what challenges life will bring them . . .

We've definitely had some unexpected challenges over these few years . . . namely cancer and infertility. But we both are so grateful for those challenges because they brought us closer together and brought Caleb into our lives.


Thanks for the last 5 years honey - I look forward to the next 5 (if you can handle having me around that long)
