December Adventures

Caleb isn't the only one having fun these days. My sisters and I did something completely out of character - we kidnapped my mom and took her to Vegas for her 65th birthday! We had it all planned and booked and she had absolutely no say in any of it. She didn't even know we were taking her until 24 hours before i arrived to pick her up at her house at 6:15am. We are all amazed (and proud) that the plan never leaked out.

Here are some highlights from our whirl wind weekend in Vegas!

Eating at the food court because we are cheap . . .

On our last day in Vegas, we went to Madame Tussauds wax museum. That was definitely a well spent hour!! We had a blast posing with all the wax characters. Unfortunately, the one of my mom and Hugh Hefner didn't turn out . . .

Before heading off to the airport to fly home, we had to go to at least 1 Vegas buffet. We hit up the Bellagio buffet and it was quite tasty . . . I didn't document all our food choices but had to show the many desserts that we tasted (tasted being the key word . . .).

I know what is going through Caleb's mind in this picture . . . my mom left me alone with Dad for 3 whole days and all I got was this lousy dice sucker??

Caleb's adventure for the month?? Sitting on Santa's lap. He did so good - no crying or screaming. He just sat there and looked at Santa and didn't say a thing even though we had been coaching him for a few days about telling Santa what he wants for Christmas. Caleb was thrilled about the full size candy cane he got - it was gone within minutes after getting home!

Now we just have to make it through the next few weeks and the holidays will be over!! Yippee!
