Valentine's Dayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy . . .

Valentine's day was literally ALL day this year. First event of the day was going to a Valentine's Day party at a neighbor's house. They made Valentine's gifts for their mom's and dad's and there was a bean bag toss. And you can't have a Valentine's Day party without heart shaped sugar cookies with pink frosting!! Thanks Holly!

Then after the party, Grandma Lu came over to drop off a Valentine's day gift. Caleb was of course thrilled with the visit and with the goodies!! He loves his Grandma!

Then when Dad came home from work, there were more festivities! I had made special cookies for my boys . . . its the one time a year I make sugar cookies. Then Darren helped Caleb find all the cinnamon bears I had hidden for him (its based on a little poem my mom used to do for us each Valentine's day that talks about bear hugs . . . a tradition I will carry on).

Then it was time to dig into the cookie. Caleb is in that phase where he just wants the frosting - he didn't care about the cookie. . .yet another reason to only do pink frosting once a year.

Then Caleb got to open the Valentine's Day goodie bag from Grandma Cathy. This little boy gets spoiled by both grandmas!! And that ended the LONG Valentine's Day.

Not that Caleb came up with the idea (have to credit it to my sister-in-law Kathryn who did something even cuter along these lines a year or two ago . . .), but I had to take a picture of the Valentine's I created on his behalf for his few little friends!
