Christmas 2012

We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas like we did this year! Of course the best Christmas present we got this year was Noah joining our family. Both he and Caleb are the biggest blessings in our lives! My parents were heading down to Texas for the holidays so they came to give Caleb and Noah their Christmas presents before leaving. Caleb loved the idea of getting presents before Christmas!

Noah and his new singing flashlight

Caleb and his new guitar . . . we're hoping now that he's older, he'll take better care of this one and it won't end up in the trash like his last one!

We also had a chance to go see Santa! Caleb obviously had no problem sitting on Santa's lap and listing out what he wanted - which included a ukelele - which is funny since he had just gotten a guitar a few days earlier.

Noah wasn't having it at all . . . no candy cane from Santa this year!

We headed down to SLC to see the Temple lights. Caleb loved the idea of touching the Temple so we had to go "touch" the doors of the temple.

Then before we knew it, it was Christmas Eve!! I cooked a big turkey dinner (using my roaster oven that I got from our wedding over 7 years ago that finally made it out of its box a few weeks ago so I could read how to use it . . . ) and it turned out great. What a relief! We did learn that Noah LOVES mash potatoes and gravy whereas Caleb wouldn't touch them.

Grandma Cathy sewed all the grandkids matching PJs so here they are opening them and then modeling them. We tried to get Noah to smile, but to no avail . . .

Then Christmas Eve was over and Santa had to come. Good job Santa!

Christmas morning was crazy busy of course but after all the craziness and family stuff, we were able to come home and play with the new toys! Here's Caleb with his bongo drums.

And Noah with his egg shakers - we were obviously all about music and noise this Christmas . . . what were we thinking!!

Mom and Noah cuddling :)

Caleb showing off his new and improved Doctor kit . . . both mom and dad have played sick more than a few times since Christmas day . . .
It was a great Christmas. I am just glad that we have a whole year to recover and start planning for next year!!
