What a family vacation we had!! We decided to head down to Southern Utah for our family vacation this summer. If you ask the boys what their favorite part of the trip was, they will say it was sleeping in the bunk beds - not all the fun things we did, but the bunk beds. Kids!?!
The first day we were there we hit up Zion National Park. The kids did think it was pretty cool that we had to ride in a bus to get to the hikes.
The boys felt pretty grown up wearing their own Camelbacks. But considering the hot, hot weather down there - it was totally necessary.
The next day we headed to Red Cliffs Desert Park to see the lava tube. The kids wanted to go down in to the lava tube, but Darren and I weren't prepared or ready to do that with them yet. The crazy thing is there was a church group coming out of it as we got there and one of the leaders had a 3 week old baby strapped to her. No way Jose.
After the long, hot hike in the desert, we treated to the boys to a new treat - Italian Ice.
They LOVED it.
Dinner wasn't too shabby either.
Had to make a pit stop at the St. George Temple. At this point, the boys were toast so we didn't get many smiles.
On our last night there, we went to Tuacahn to see Peter Pan. Needless to say, it was AWESOME and the boys LOVED it. Noah was especially amazed and just seemed in awe most of the show.
We even stayed afterward so the boys could meet some of the cast. Peter Pan even gave them some pixie dust . . . Noah still "uses" his every once in a while. I love that he believes in magic like that.
We went home tired but happy that we had such a great time.
