Spring Break 2017

For Spring Break 2017, me and the boys road tripped it up to Montana with Darren for a client meeting.  In my mind, it was a better idea than staying home alone with the boys all day long by myself during Spring Break.

Thank goodness for Ipads!
We couldn't believe the amount of snow they still had up there.
It was 5 feet high on either side of the highway

So we found a little cabin to stay at that was actually located on a farm!  It was in the Bitter Root
Valley and suited us just fine.
The farm had this amazing playground that had this old tractor in it.  Caleb and Noah were huge fans of the playground.  If it hadn't have been 35 degrees and windy out, we may have spent more time there . . .

The playground also had this awesome treehouse which Caleb claimed as his own.

Even though it was super cold, we braved the elements and drove to Lake Como (not the one in Italy, unfortunately).
The lake was still frozen in some parts - so the boys and Darren did some cold rock throwing to break the ice.  Boys and their rock throwing . . .

One perk of the trip - Montana has excellent fresh beef from the ranchers there.  We had burgers multiple times and they were all delicious.  Caleb's new fav food?  Cheeseburgers!
Our little cabin on the farm - The GateHouse

On our last day there, we did a farm tour with the Farm Manager.
The boys fell in love with the baby goats.

Caleb kept trying to kiss the baby goats. . . and kept asking if we could adopt one.  Needless to say, we came home goatless.

Watching the huge pigs get fed.

Caleb talking the ear off the Farm Manager.

Watching the piglets.  Another animal Caleb wanted to adopt.
 Chickens

Montana was great - but I told Darren if we ever go back up, it has to be during a warmer season!

We got home with a couple days left of Spring Break.  So we went to the park . . .
And played in the hot tub.
Thank goodness Spring Break is over!!!
