Earlier this year, Darren and I decided that it was time to take our boys to Disney Land. And then Darren pointed out that one of his annual work conferences was in Orlando at the end of September...
Disney World here we come.
We invited my parents along for the craziness too. The trip seemed so far away but then we started packing and off we went.
The boys loved that they had their own screens on the flight - technology is the best thing ever!
The first of many rides - the airport tram!!
Our first day (and Caleb's birthday) at Disney World was spent at the Animal Kingdom and more specifically, the Avatar/Pandora area. It was amazing!!
The boys loved the safari ride where we saw the real animals and overall, it was a pretty awesome day!
Day 2 we headed to the Magic Kingdom.
Day 3 we left Disney World and headed out to Universal Studios because Caleb really wanted to see the Harry Potter stuff. It was pretty impressive and the ride was cool too.
The Jurassic Park section had a fun activity - it turned you into a dinosaur. See if you can guess which one is me, Caleb, or Noah?
I love Noah's face in this picture - this was after the crocodile tears were shed. The Kong: Skull Island line queue display totally freaked him out and he cried a good chunk of the time we were in line.
Day 4 we took a day off of the amusement parks. We found an airboat ride to go on and it was super cool!! We went flying around the lake and saw alligators and other wildlife. And then at the end, we got to hold an alligator - as you can tell by my face and my moms, we weren't exactly thrilled.
Day 5 we headed back into Disney World to the Hollywood Studios park.
I was totally that parent racing in, almost running, to get in line to sign my kids up to do the Jedi training. I was successful!!
The boys showing off their tickets to do the first Jedi training of the day.
It was pretty awesome watching your boys "defeat" Darth Vader.
It was a long day . . . Noah was wiped by the time we got on the bus to head back to our hotel.
Day 6: EPCOT!
One of the boys favorite rides was this one - you got to design your own concept car and then do a simulated test drive of it on the track up to 70mph!!

Caleb's car edged Noah's car out by 1 point!
We had made it the whole week without getting rained on . . . our luck ran out the afternoon of the last day. Luckily, we had just finished the last ride we wanted to go on so we were fine to leave and get out of the pouring rain. At least we were prepared, unlike about 80% of the other people there. It was worth carrying around our ponchos all week just in case.
We had an amazing time and the boys were pretty darn good considering all the walking and lack of sleep. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for putting up with us for an entire week!!
