The boys have been begging to go to Texas to visit their cousins for the last couple of years.
I finally gave in and booked a trip to Texas . . . knowing that we were going when it was going to be miserably hot and muggy. . . what was I thinking!!
But off we flew to Dallas first to visit our friends, the Claytons.
We did all sorts of fun things over the couple of days we had there -
swimming, parks, etc.
One of the highlights for Caleb was the Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum.
He has at least 3 of the books based on this collection.
(in my opinion, it was pretty ghetto - but Caleb LOVED it!)
We also made a quick visit to the Dallas Temple on our way downtown . . .
We ate at the food trucks downtown and then rode the Old Trolley all around town.
The next day, me and boys hopped in our rental car and made the 4 hour drive to Houston to spend the next few days with my sisters and their families.
We pretty much swam the entire time!!
My sisters were incredibly gracious and let us celebrate an early birthday for Caleb.
All he wanted for his birthday was for his cousins to be there -
so we celebrated almost 2 months early!
We drove back to Dallas, hopped on a plane and flew home.
It was a long day of driving for hours and then sitting on a plane for hours,
but the boys were troopers and did awesome.
