One day, I sat on the back porch of our cabin and stared at the unused space next to it.
That's when I saw a hammock space in my head and I convinced Darren we could do it.
Thankfully, my brother, who is an engineer and amazing at these kinds of things, agreed to help us out when they were in town from Portland.
I did all the leg work - went to the lumber place and chose the wood, ordered and coordinated the delivery of the rocks (we ordered 3 tons and they gave us 5!), rented the auger to drill the post holes, ordered the hammocks and the sun shade.
I honestly can't believe it actually came together and turned out so amazing.
