Australia/New Zealand - Day 4 & 5

 October 21-22

We had time before heading to the airport to go out to breakfast and we were sure glad that we did.
We had the best breakfast ever - I think both the boys would still say it was their favorite meal there.

Then we were off to the airport, again, to catch a 3 hour flight to Auckland.
Everything went smoothly and we were able to get our rental car and make the couple hour drive to our rental house.
The picture below is the view from the back deck of the rental house.
It was so pretty.

The next morning, we went to church.
We felt so welcomed and loved the Spirit we felt there.

After church, we left for Tauranga on the coast.
It wasn't super warm, in the 70s, but Noah didn't care.  He was in the water as soon as we got there.
Unfortunately for us, the rest of the afternoon didn't go as planned and we all got a little
grumpy and hungry.

We learned when we were in Tauranga that it was actually a holiday there.
So the beaches and parks and restaurants were all packed and no parking.
We didn't get to do the hike that Darren had wanted to do and traffic was horrible.
Thankfully, the boys were pretty good sports and once we got good food in us, the day went better.
Good food can solve all woes . . . at least in this instance it did.

We made the drive home and we got over the disappointment from earlier and boys loved kayaking in the lake.  It was a great ending to a somewhat stressful day.
