Grand Tetons/Yellowstone 2008

(Darren narrating)

So Marni and I decided it was time for another vacation. We decided to venture up to Grand Teton/Yellowstone country. We definitely had a great time as you can see from Marni and her thumbs up!

Marni hadn't been to Yellowstone before, so we definitely had to stop by Old Faithful and watch it. Luckily we got there about 20 mins before it went off, or we could of been there much longer than we wanted to.

Marni striking a pose in front of a beautiful waterfall in Yellowstone.

As we were driving the loop in Yellowstone, we stumbled upon a bear cub as you can see. He wasn't crossing the road when we first got there. He was playing around in the weeds and then decided to cross the road 1 car in front of ours. I was taking pictures as the ranger was telling me to get in the car. We were probably 20-30 free away from this bear. SCARY!

Marni wanted to throw in a picture of me in front of the Mammoth Hot Springs. She thinks I just take pictures of her. What can I say, she is cuter than me. :)

Picture of an Elk we saw in Yellowstone up close and personal.

So usually when Marni and I go on trips, we are definitely not slackers on them. We decided, or she at least agreed with me, we would hike to Lake Solitude in the Tetons. It was a 7.2 mile hike each way and ascended 2,000 feet. We had no idea that when we got to the lake it would still be frozen over. We were hiking through snow the last 30 mins as you can see. Pretty crazy!

The whole trip I had been wanting to see a moose and lo and behold on our way back down from Lake Solitude we ran onto at least 2 moose. This guy was pretty big.

A couple more pictures of us in the Tetons, I think the only reason we look clean in this picture is because we paid $7.00 between the two of us to shower after the 14 miler. Doesn't Marni's hair look good???

And, we always have to throw pictures like this in because Marni makes us stop at every one of these and take a picture....life is rough. :-)

Marni does like pictures in front of signs. I have a couple in front of the Flaming Gorge Dam and the Maverick gas station with her.

Obviously your signs are cooler.
