WE DID IT!

We survived chemotherapy. Darren had his sixth and final chemotherapy this past Wednesday and he took the last of the necessary steroids this morning. Needless to say, he is pretty thrilled to be done with all that nasty stuff and we pray we don't have to go through that ever again. He now has a very strong aversion to any kind of pill.

Now we have a month off before we meet with the radiation oncologist to discuss his radiation schedule. We're not sure what to do with ourselves for the 4 weeks before the visit . . . we are so used to our frequent visits to the Hunstman Cancer Institute. . . I'm sure we'll come up with something to keep busy.

Other than all the cancer stuff, things are pretty normal. Molly keeps us pretty busy . . . she's not going to know what to do when we are eventually blessed with a baby. Speaking of babies, we are still pursuing adoption and hope that we will be lucky enough to bring a child into our family this year.

Thank you so much for your comment on Troy's blog. We are so thrilled that he is in remission! It has been a really tough road for all of us it sounds like. We will be praying for Darren and for the results of his PET CT to come back clean! I pray that his radiation treatments are successful as well. You guys will certainly must be a lot stronger for enduring such a tough trial! I'm sure that God will bless you in many ways! I pray that you are able to adopt as well! Children are such a blessing! God bless!
