Well, for all of you who have been following along with our struggles to start a family, it looks like the light at the end of the tunnel is coming! Darren & I received a phone call last Friday with a match from the adoption agency we are working with. We took a few hours to think about it and pray and determined to move forward. Before things were really going to move forward, we had to have a conference call on Monday night with the birthmother. She didn’t talk too much, so we took 20 mins or so and told her all about us. Darren says I must have done a good job, because we got a call later that night from our caseworker and she said Tiffany, the birthmother, had agreed to move forward with us. Yeah! So, she is due in September, so we don’t know the sex of the baby just yet.
Darren and I are simply excited at the opportunity to potentially raise this child and feel fortunate to have this chance. We will post more details later as most likely next week we will start to have our own conversations with Tiffany.

Yay! Congratulations! I would love to get together and share with you our wonderful adoption story. My sister (whose two kids we are raising) had a darling baby girl last April 18 (yep, she's one today). She placed her for adoption with a most wonderful family and we have become the best of friends/extended family. We love them and actually attended Marin's one year old birthday party today! Please call me and let's get together...
