Today was a big day for Caleb - he was circumcised. We definitely learned that our little one has great lungs as we could hear him out in the sitting room where we had to wait during the procedure. Seeing the aftermath of the circumcision, I have given Darren the next few days off of diaper duty as I think as a man, it hits pretty close to home.
Caleb is doing great. He's eating well, sleeping pretty good and is changing every day. He's handling living in a hotel better than the rest of us . . . we cannot wait to get home and get settled.
We want to thank everyone for their well wishing and support. The last time we got this many comments on our blog it was in reaction to Darren's cancer diagnosis . . . it goes to show that things can really suck at one point and then can be crazily amazing just a short 12 months later.

Marni- Brandon and I are so excited for you guys!!!! what a cute little guy. CONGRATS!!!!
Ah, Caleb is officially part of God's people.
When we lived in Eugene (hippie-ville) we had long lectures about circumcision and how it isn't necessary. I didn't agree that my son should be a trailblazer amongst his peers. I expect my sons to thank me one day.
You both had to wait outside? I always made Dan go in with the baby and I sat outside. Moms shouldn't have to mess with the man parts.
His arms look so long! I hear you on the circ...when I first had Kaden I was so paranoid about handling his little man parts...I would call Ty during the day to ask if something was "normal" :) The joys of boys!
I love the pictures! and I love seeing his little squished face. My Deisy came out the same way -- chubby cheeks and a squished nose! How Cute!
I am so excited to get to hold that cute little guy! Amazing, isn't it! You guys are go to be fabulous parents. I know your mom can't wait to hold him today. Give him a hug and kiss from us! We are so happy for you.
