Here is a photo recap of his birthday day. A family friend (thanks Birgid!) bought him this cute shirt to notify everyone that it was his birthday. Unfortunately, by the time his birthday party rolled around, that birthday shirt was filthy and had to be changed. But it was cute while it lasted! (Please ignore his puffy eyes, he had a bacterial infection in both eyes, fun huh!)

Grandma Richards came early to the party to help me make Caleb's cake. Caleb LOVES to read books. So he recruited Grandma to read to him . . . over and over and over again.
For some reason, I cannot get this picture to turn the right way so here it is sideways. I was quite proud of myself about this cake - I invited my mom to come over to help figuring she'd do most of the creative stuff . . .but she made me do it!! Thanks Mom!
Caleb wasn't too sure what to do with the cake once we'd sung to him. For the most part, he just spread the frosting around and licked his fingers. I don't think he even got a chunk of cake in his mouth.
He had a great time opening his presents . . . he liked being the center of attention :)
The last year flew by - but we have loved all of it. We are so blessed to have Caleb in our family. We love you little man :)

Look at all of that hair! What do you do with it!? :) Can't believe a year has already come and gone...they grow up so fast, huh! Glad he had a fun birthday.
