I never thought I would choose to visit Nashville, home of country music. Anyone who knows me knows that I have a slight aversion to country music . . . yet I flew into the Nashville airport last Thursday not knowing what to expect. We went to Nashville with our friends, the Clayton's, because their nephew plays for the Oregon Ducks baseball team and they were playing at Vanderbilt. And we thought another weekend away from the kids couldn't be too bad of a thing :)
Our first pic of the trip. We really don't like selfies, but felt the moment necessitated it.
Vanderbilt baseball field
Eating at Jack's BBQ on Broadway in downtown Nashville. It was delicious!!!!!
Walking around downtown
Nashville's replica of the Parthenon. Who knew?
Gotta fist bump statues when the opportunity presents itself.
This trip gave me the best bed head ever!!!
Had the best time at the Escape Game in Nashville. Basically they lock you in a room and you have to find clues and solve puzzles to get out in less than 60 mins. We did it in 51!
Darren taking it easy during a smoothie break. It was super hot and super humid in Nashville so we had quite a few smoothie breaks during our time there.
We spent out last night at the Opryland Resort - which we learned is the biggest convention center IN THE WORLD! Totally believable. I could get lost in that place for days and not find my room.
We had a great time, but as always, were ready to come home and see the kids :)
