For the second year in a row, I got to tag along with Darren to Dallas for a work conference.
What is so exciting about Dallas? Just that Nat, my "sis from another miss", lives there and I get to spend 3 days with her!!! 3 days of friends, food, fun and more food. And I think we utilized my time there pretty darn well.
First we hit up the Magnolia Silos in Waco.
Best cupcakes ever. Seriously.
We got some funny looks as we had 4 cupcakes out on the table between the 2 of us.
Seriously, couldn't ask for much better. Sitting in the sun with my partner in crime...eating cupcakes.
After dinner that night, we found a place offering a "Texas Sopapilla"
It was literally bigger than my head.
The next day, we ventured to the Bush Library.
It made me miss the days of the Bush presidency . . .
We hadn't had any sugar since the huge sopapilla the night before so . . .
FROZEN CUSTARD!!!
I will neither confirm nor deny that this was the only time we had this treat while I was there . . .
Then Darren's work conference ended and the boys joined our party. 😓😭
So the boys joined us for our dinner adventure that night - Greek Food.
I have never been a fan of Greek food, but I ate everything on my plate!
Yeah - Darren got a bright red, BMW convertible as his rental car. Such a boy thing.
Our farewell meal - amazing gourmet hamburgers that just melted in your mouth.
I will say this, even if I didn't have Nat in Texas, Dallas is worth a visit just for the food!!!!
