It has become a family tradition that when one of us girls turns 40, all of us adult girls go on a trip.
I just so happened to turn 40 earlier this year and so did my sister in law. Trip time!!
We decided to go to San Diego and enjoy some nice weather.
My sisters went all out and put together an amazing swag bag of 40 themed things - a hoodie, a visor, a bag, treats, etc. I have awesome sisters.
We stayed at a friends condo right close to the beach.
Every morning, we went on long walks on the beach. It was perfect.
One day we even went ocean kayaking.
It was incredibly windy and we didn't know what we were getting ourselves into.
We survived and even our guide said it was a rough ride that day.

Whale Watching wasn't exactly successful.
We saw a ton of dolphins, which is cool . . . but no whales :(
Super lucky to have my mom and sisters!
All the rest of my pictures from this trip were of food . . . we had amazing food. Grown up food.
At restaurants that didn't serve kids meals or chicken nuggets.
