Iron Man weekend

Back in October of 2023, Darren and I were peer pressured in to doing a relay for the 

Half Iron Man in St. George.

It seemed so far away, until it wasn't.

I did both the swim and the bike for my team and Darren did the biking for his.

We went with a group of friends and because they use Google Photos and not Apple, we don't have any of the group pics to post!  Ha Ha.

The swimming went ok after I had an anxiety attach when getting in the water - but after that, I kicked but and had a decent time.

The biking didn't go great - I got a flat after the first climb and that set me back almost 40 mins due to a comedy of errors.

Darren's biking went fine - but he knows he could have ridden better.

So we both learned a lot and we'll see if we do it again next year.

While Darren and I were at Iron Man, Caleb was off with the Teachers and Priests on

a rappelling adventure not too far from us in St. George.

He had a blast - he never ceases to amaze with his willingness to try scary things.
