It'll be more fun when he gets older . . .

Darren and I say the above phrase quite a bit in regards to Caleb friendly activities. Luckily, we found a couple things that both Caleb and us as adults could enjoy - trips to the cabin and the zoo!

Caleb LOVES "Grandpa's house". . . otherwise known as my parents cabin. He is always up for playing in and by the river. Kids must have no sensitivity to cold because the river is FREEZING yet all the kids that go up there will be in the river playing. You won't really find any adults spending time in the water :)

Caleb's other favorite thing at the cabin are the ATV's. He would spend all day on them if he could. Thankfully, Darren obliges him most of the time and they go cruising around the trails. Kids catch on to things so quick - Caleb knows where the gas is on the ATV's and has surprised both Darren and I with quick squeezes on the gas shooting us forward . . . dangerous :)

We went to the zoo this summer with Grandma Richards and my brother and his family. As normal, I neglected to take pictures . . . so here are the few that were taken.

The zoo has animatronic dinosaurs all over the place and Caleb couldn't get enough. His favorite was the T-Rex which roared (quite loudly) - we hung out by the T-Rex for at least 20 minutes while Caleb danced around to the dinosaurs roar and then would run up the dinosaur and blow him a kiss. It amazed me how close he got to the dinosaur because there were much older kids that were freaked out and crying because of that dinosaur. My boy is fearless (both a good and bad thing, right?)
