Eventful weekend

Our fun packed weekend started on Friday morning. Anyone who knows Caleb is aware of his. . .obsession with vacuums. So, I finally let him have full control of our vacuum and he didn't do too bad. The 2 feet of carpet where he vacuumed for 5 minutes is very clean now. He had a huge smile on the whole time.

Once Darren got home from work, we headed down to my parents how to take advantage of the nice weather and swim with some friends.

We have a dare devil on our hands . . . Caleb decided he wanted to jump off the waterfall into the pool. It's about 6 feet above the pool. As a mom I'm glad that he's not scared to do it . . . but I'm also scared that he's not scared to do it!!
On to Saturday morning. We wanted to get the yard work done in the morning so we could play in the afternoon. Caleb took it upon himself to help Dad with the yard. He actually helped Darren mow our whole front yard. That's probably the longest he's ever focused on one thing.
Then came the reward for all the hard work - Dinosaur Park in Ogden. Caleb likes the "How does a Dinosaur . . . " book series so we decided it'd be fun to take him to Dinosaur park so he could see "real" dinosaurs. At first he was all excited and wanted to touch all the dinosaurs - towards the end it was "scary big dinosaur" and whining to leave. I think we'll give him a year or 2 before coming back.

We had to end the day on a high note so we went and got snow cones! A great end to a great weekend.
