Regardless of the state of the world, Easter must go on.
So we started off Easter weekend with some bunny pancakes!
Thankfully the egg dye I ordered online made it here on time . . . phew!
Unfortunately, the weather wasn't the best this year, so we had to dye our eggs inside 😕
Thankfully, the boys didn't care one bit and still loved dying their eggs.
The way they dye their eggs is totally indicative of their personalities.
Caleb is totally disorganized and messy and experimental.
Noah doesn't get any dye on his hands and keeps all his stuff in order.
Gotta have the Easter egg hunt on Easter morning. They wrote a note to the Easter bunny to hide their eggs hard. And the bunny complied. Needless to say, Dad had to help them find a few . . .
Maybe next year they'll ask for "over easy" not "hard" 😅
They both found their Easter baskets eventually.
Caleb got a 6 month subscription to Universal Yums so he can try snacks from all over the world!
Noah happened to get a new bike this year. He has been begging for a "geared" bike for the last 6 months and the bunny hooked him up. We learned later that he was slightly disappointed because he had really wanted a video game instead 😑
One of the sad parts about Easter was that we couldn't have our annual Downs Family Easter party.
It's heartbreaking but necessary. There's always next year!
