One of the best things about our cabin is our neighbors, the Rasmussen's.
Jim and Linda are from Escondido, CA but spend a ton of time at their cabin.
We all think they're great, but the boys LOVE them. They have an open invitation to go over to their cabin whenever we go up to ours. Linda is a retired teacher and just loves having our boys around.
She brings out her bird memory game, her bird watching books, and all sorts of other fun learning activities that the boys have enjoyed. They disappear over there for hours!!
One Saturday, the Rasmussen's offered to take us on an adventure to the fossil hills.
It was such a great afternoon!
We all loaded up in their 2 ATVs and off we went.
We got to where the fossils were and we spent so long there finding all sorts of amazing fossils and such!
Then Jim showed us another cool thing - the cave
The boys were so brave and crawled down into the cave with Jim.
The lack of fear is a little frightening to me!
The boys would probably say the best part of the day was Jim letting them drive the ATV!
He has taken them driving in them before and it seriously makes their weekend.
We couldn't ask for anyone better to be our cabin neighbors!
