October 28
On our last day in New Zealand, we started our day off at the local Farmers Market.
It was a great choice!
The boys got milkshakes, dad got some donuts, and mom got some fresh raspberries.
We checked out of our VRBO and headed to our last destination in New Zealand, Hamilton Gardens.
Hamilton Gardens is a world famous collection of themed gardens.
Noah was having a rougher day so he and Darren didn't last long and headed back to the car to chill . . . which left Caleb and I to explore the grounds and take lots of pictures!
Our favorite theme was the Surrealist Garden.
It was pretty trippy and it was all about scale and movement.
The Egyptian Garden was one of our other favorites.
Caleb and I finally got hungry and headed back to the car to join Darren and Noah for lunch.
We found this cute local place and again, had amazing fresh food.
Not a bad last meal to be had in New Zealand!
Unfortunately after lunch, we had to make the drive back to Auckland and the airport.
We flew back to Sydney, found our Airbnb, and went straight to bed because we had an early morning planned.
