October 29
We had one day left to spend in Australia and we spent it in the Blue Mountains.
We boarded a tour bus and headed inland towards Scenic World.
This place used to be a mining center and has quite a bit of history.
Bummer for us, the the Scenic Cableway was closed to we didn't get to go on it.
Good news, we got to go on the Scenic Railway.
It's the steepest passenger railway in the world.
It was a short ride, but we couldn't stop laughing because it was SO STEEP!
Like HOLD ON FOR YOUR LIFE STEEP.
More stops along the way provided more family picture stops.
One of our other stops on the tour was Wentworth Falls.
While at the falls, Caleb made friends with some wild birds.
There were so many! And they were aggressive!
Our last stop for the day was at Featherdale Wildlife Park.
The boys got to pet and feed kangaroos, which they LOVED.
Then the tour bus dropped us at the ferry station and we rode the ferry across the bay.
Not a bad way to end the tour.
Just to document a family inside joke during the trip -
anytime anyone did something nice for or to Caleb, instead of saying Thank You,
he would say "Service".
Hence we had to take a picture of him pointing at the word "SERVICE"
The next morning we got up, went to the airport, and flew home.
Thankfully the entire trip, including all the flights, went smoothly.
We made some amazing memories on this trip.
