A couple of days before his birthday, we celebrated with Grandma and Grandpa.
On his actual birthday, he got a HUGE surprise.
I had packed him a suitcase, and didn't tell him where we were going.
Our plane landed in CA and he still had no idea.
We got to our hotel to check in and he saw all this Disneyland stuff and he still didn't quite get it.
So he finally turned to me and asked if we were at Disneyland.
It was a pretty anticlimatic response . . . which I didn't even catch on camera.
Needless to say, he got more and more excited and we walked closer and closer and he actually saw the entrance to Disneyland.
We spent 3 days at Disneyland, just him and me.
We ate lots of treats. Lots of treats.
His favorite ride was Autopia. I believe he did that ride 15 times.
He loved it - not a bad way to spend your 8th birthday.
