Maui Day 3

 What an amazing full day!

Since we didn't have any scheduled activity for Sunday, we decided to venture out to the Nakalele Blowhole and hike around that area.  The wind had carried over from the day before so we got blown around pretty good - but it was still plenty warm.

The terrain got a little crazy so Grandma and Grandpa headed back to the car and the 4 of us headed off in search of the blowhole.  Luckily, Darren found us a way to get there and the boys loved watching and trying to predict when the blowhole was going to explode with water.

After that adventure, we headed off to another trail that was supposed to be flat and easy...it was an easier hike, but then it started to rain 😅  It definitely made the hike more memorable for all of us.

We decided all our physical exertion deserved a fabulous lunch on the beach.
We ate at the Burger Shack near the D.T. Fleming beach.  You'd think a restaurant with the word "shack" in it would be on the less expensive end.  Turns out, it was on the Ritz-Carlton resort property and we paid over $200 for burgers and milkshakes.
We learned our lesson on that one.

We spent the afternoon swimming at our pool before cleaning up for a nice dinner.
We went to Kimo's, a place Grandma and Grandpa have gone many times before and it didn't disappoint.  The location on the water was amazing and so was the food.

Afterwards, we walked around Front Street in Lahaina and the boys got henna tattoos.

We headed back to our resort and enjoyed the sunset on the beach.  What more can you ask for??
